AN ENLIGHTENING MIDRASH (STORY)

I recently lost my mother and have been trying to come to terms with mortality. Thinking about what happens to us after we die. I was reading an article on About.com Judaism and a particular segment brought a smile to my face. I realized that life, and perhaps the afterlife, is what you make of it.

"In both heaven and hell people sit at banquet tables piled high with delicious foods, but no one can bend their elbows. In Hell everyone starves because they think only of themselves.
